  To honor our country’s 250th year, the Society will share the story of how Baltimoreans worked to make the Star- Spangled Banner our national anthem. And why it took so long to decide. Historians Christopher George, author of The Scots in Maryland and a Bicentennial History of  St. Andrew’s Society of Baltimore and Terror on the Chesapeake: The War of 1812, and Robert Cummins, Jr, author of Monumental Anthem: The Untold Story of the Star-Spangled Banner, will tell how Baltimoreans in 1814 and 1918 worked to make Francis Scott Key’s poem the US Anthem.

  Join Society members, friends, and family for a fun time enjoying 3 hours of All You Can Eat (including beer and soft drinks; BYO liquor and wine) for only $75 per person.

  The menu includes pit beef, ham and turkey, MD crab soup, Italian sausage, pulled chicken, kielbasa, hot dogs in baked beans, a variety of side dishes, veggie dip, and desserts!

  Also included in the fun is a DJ, Scottish trivia game, 50/50 drawing, and prizes.
